The sound of frantic feet on leaves echoed throughout the dark jungle. It was around midnight, but it kept going. The running became faster as the dark blur continued to scatter mysterious purple sparkles behind it. Glowing, indigo eyes scanned the horizon for any place to hide. Anywhere would be good. It had to get away.
The blur grabbed a silver pickaxe from it's belt and proceeded to dig straight down. If it fell into a lava pit or a chasm, then so be it. It would be better dying this way. It continued to dig until it could dig no more, then made a small cave for it to sit in. It placed down a torch. The light shone onto the beings face, revealing a man, with indigo eyes and a fresh cut on the side of his perfect, pale face. Black blood trickled down the cheek until it landed on the cold stone floor.
Hardly what you would call home. But the man didn't care. He escaped for now. Peace. But who knows how long it would last?

A moan escaped his lips as he regained the feeling in his arms. His hands were touching something soft and cool, like a mattress or a blanket.
